This week’s Lubedude of MT athlete of the week is Butte High Freshman guard Hudson Luedtke. Hudson torched the Spartans for 29 points Friday night to give the Bulldogs a much-needed win heading into the final 2 game stretch. I talked to head coach Matt, father of Hudson and he said Hudson hates to lose, I also told Matt just how much you can see that Hudson not only respects Matt as a father but as a coach as well. He is always so engaged in the game and will do whatever it takes to get his team a win.

As just a Freshman, Hudson is averaging just over 15 ppg and 5 boards, he is a truly special player and we get to experience him for another three years, he is only going to get better. The stat book may say grade 9 next to his name, but Hudson plays like a senior and is a great leader for such a young age. The Bulldogs are looking to make a push and play their best basketball heading into divisionals and make a chance at a state run in their home town, as Class AA is hosted at the Butte Civic Center this year.
