Athlete of the Week, Jack Keeley Butte Central senior QB

This Weeks Athlete of the Week is Butte Central Senior QB Jack “Mr. Do it All” Keeley. Jack led the Maroons in both passing and rushing and to a 21-14 win over Park at Bobcat stadium Friday night in Bozeman. Jack was 15 of 29 with a touchdown, Jack also carried the ball 16 times for 71 yards and his 7-yard score, he had a tackle for loss and an interception on defense as well. The Butte boy balled out.

After a scoreless first frame Keeley connected with Ryan Peoples on an 8-yard touchdown pass to give BC a 7-0 advantage. Central would score off an interception return for a touchdown by Coy Campbell to give BC a 14-0 lead through 3 quarters.

But after a 14-point; 4th quarter fury from Park on special teams, one on a blocked punt, the other an 84-yard kick return to the house, Jack took his team downfield and the Maroons scored on a 7-yard QB keeper, keeping the Maroons out in front, Jack new the job wasn’t finished as he willed his team to their first victory of the season after an injury plagued year.

Jack and the Maroons will host the undefeated Dillon Beavers this Friday at Bob Green Field, come out and root them on. Great job Jack keep playing hard!
