GREAT FALLS — Montana Tech’s celebration will have to wait at least two more days.
The Orediggers fell in three sets Thursday night, dropping a 29-27, 25-20, 25-21 decision to the University of Providence-Great Falls in a Frontier Conference volleyball match. (Stats)
Tech can still clinch the Frontier Conference regular-season title — the school’s first since 1990 — when the Orediggers host MSU-Northern at 2 p.m. Saturday.
Lauren Brown and Sydney Anderson each tallied 10 kills to lead the way as the Argos out killed the Orediggers 46-41.
Masha Korol’s 12 kills paced the Orediggers, who got seven kills apiece from Angela Molesworth and Gena McMillan.
Tori Chelin dished up 19 assists, while Kamaile Moody added 13 kills, and Sabrina Hopcroft collected 21 digs.
Tech will celebrate Senior Day on Saturday as the team honors seniors Haley Druyvestein, Nicole Peacock and Angela Molesworth.
