Argos shoot past Tech men

Zaccheus Darko-Kelly had a huge night at the HPER Complex, and the University of Providence men’s basketball team swept a two-game series with the Orediggers.

Darko-Kelly scored 25 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to lead the way as the Argonauts beat the Orediggers in a 94-89 Frontier shootout Tuesday night. (Stats)

Marcus Stephens added 22 points for the Argos (2-0), who saw five players reach double digits scoring. Cap Uzan scored 18, while Jaxen Hashley tossed in 12 and Davie Harris-Williams scored 11.

Sindou Diallo scored 18 points to lead five Orediggers in double digits. Derrius Collins scored 17, Nate Ward dropped in 15, Drew Huse scored 12, and Bridger Larson scored 10.

Cody Baumstarck tossed in nine points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Orediggers (3-4 overall, 3-2 conference).

The Orediggers are back at home Saturday and Sunday to take on Rocky Mountain College.
