Argo women use big fourth to take down Dawgs

GREAT FALLS — Kenedy Cartwright scored 17 points to lead four Argonauts in double figures Friday night, and the University of Providence beat Montana Western 70-41 in a Frontier Conference women’s basketball game at the McLaughlin Center. (Stats)

Jenna Randich added 16 points for the Argos, who blew the game open with a 27-7 fourth quarter.

Bailey Cartwright posted a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds, and Emilee Maldonado tossed in 10 points.

Cracey Meyer and Savanna Bignell each scored nine points to lead the Bulldogs. Paige Holmes scored seven, and Shannon Worster netted six.

The Bulldogs head to Havre to take on MSU-Northern on Saturday.
