Anderson returns in Eagles loss

PHILADELPHIA — Colt Anderson returned from a knee injury that sidelined him for two weeks to contribute for the Philadelphia Eagles in Saturday’s 26-24 playoff loss to the New Orleans Saints.

Anderson registered one solo tackle in the game. He brought down Darren Sproles after a 12-yard gain on a punt early in the third quarter.

The backup safety and special teams ace ended the season with 12 tackles and two forced fumbles. Anderson, a Butte High and University of Montana graduate, has played for the Eagles since late in the 2010 season.

He signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent in April 2009 and spent parts of two seasons on the Vikings practice squad.
