Anderson registers six pack of tackles in loss to Bears

INDIANAPOLIS — Colt Anderson registered six tackles and a pass deflection in 23-11 home preseason loss to the Chicago Bears Saturday night at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Three of the tackles by the former Butte High Bulldog and Montana Grizzly were solo take downs.

Anderson teamed with Zurlon Tipton to tackle former Grizzly teammate Mark Mariani on a punt in the first quarter. Mariani gained 22 yards on the play.

Anderson’s three solo tackles came while he was playing safety. He made tackles on running backs Senorise Perry and Ka’Deem Carey. He also brought down receiver A.J. Cruz after a short reception.

The pass deflection came as David Fales played quarterback for the Bears.

The Colts are back in action next Saturday when they head to St. Louis to take on the Rams. The Colts-Bears game will be broadcast tape-delayed several times on the NFL Network. The first airing is at 5 a.m. Sunday. 1 comment
