For the first time since 1998, no members of the Philadelphia Eagles were selected to the Pro Bowl.
The NFL announced the selections for the Jan. 27 exhibition game in Honolulu today. The game is played the Sunday before the Super Bowl.
Former Butte High Bulldog and Montana Grizzly Colt Anderson was the Philadelphia Eagles nominee on the ballot at the special teams position. Lorenzo Alexander, a linebacker for the Washington Redskins, was selected in that spot.
Though he wasn’t named to the NFC team today, Anderson still could find his way to the 2013 Pro Bowl. With injuries and the Super Bowl teams not being allowed to play, expect lots of replacement players to be named to the game.
