Anderson missed game with knee injury

Philadelphia Eagles backup safety and special teams ace Colt Anderson missed Sunday night’s game against the Chicago Bears with a knee injury.

Anderson, a 2004 Butte High graduate, was ruled out before Sunday’s the game, which was the NBC primetime game of the week. The Eagles won 54-11.

Anderson injured his knee in last week’s loss at Minnesota. He said Sunday night that the injury isn’t related to the torn ACL he suffered to his left knee late in the 2011 season. This injury is to his right knee.

Anderson’s status is uncertain for next week when Philadelphia (9-6) plays at Dallas with the NFC East title¬† on the line. That game will also be on the NBC primetime game.
