DILLON — A muddy Vigilante Field didn’t slow down Troy Andersen and the Dillon Beavers Saturday afternoon.
Andersen, Dillon’s junior quarterback, had a hand in five touchdowns as the two-time defending Class A State champion Beavers rolled to a 32-7 win over Billings Central in the quarterfinals of the Class A playoffs.
The Beavers (9-0) will play host to Havre, which beat Columbia Falls 47-13, in next week’s semifinals. If the Beavers get past that game, they will host the title game on Nov. 21.
Andersen scored on a pair of 1-yard runs. He also broke free for a 68-yard touchdown in the third quarter.
The quarterback hit Nate Simkins for a 17-yard touchdown in the second quarter. That score put the Beavers on top for good at 12-7. Andersen also found Payton Lafrentz for a 55-yard score.
Michael Stanton hit Jacob Hadley for a 22-yard strike that put the Rams on top 7-6 in the second quarter.
It was all Andersen and the Beavers after that, as Andersen ran for 183 yards and passed for 186 yards in the win.
