LAUREL — Anaconda golfer Caleb Stetzner fired a 3-under-par 69 Thursday at the Laurel Golf Club and is one shot out of the lead at the Montana Men’s State Amateur.
Stetzner, a product of the South West Montana Junior Golf Tour, shot a 35 on the front nine and a 34 on the back for the second-place tie with Mark Mance of Whitefish in the three-day tournament.
Ryan Porch of Kalispell shot 32-36 to take the first-round lead with a 68.
