After a successful first edition, the All Sport Combine returns and this time, there will be three chances for Montana’s top athletes to show their stuff.
The All Sport Combine is an evaluation day camp dedicated to helping the Treasure State’s top athletes gain more exposure on the state and national recruiting scene. At the Combine, athletes will be tested in an array of athletic disciplines, measuring speed, explosion, strength and agility. Athletes, male or female, who participate in all sports are encouraged to participate.
The cost is $85 if athletes prepay and $95 at the door the day of the camp. Athletes entering ninth through 12th grade are welcome to attend.
The All Sport Combine will have three dates — May 12 at Bozeman High School, May 19 at the Billings Sportsplex, June 2 at Missoula County Public Stadium — and is sponsored by 4800 Gym and The Ridge Athletic Clubs. The Ridge Athletic Club is widely recognized as the leader in the Bozeman community in health and fitness. The 4800 Gym is an alternative training gym specializing in Cross Fit training techniques.
Former Montana State All-American linebacker Bobby Daly and Ridge ACSM Certified Personal Trainer and Velocity Coordinator Sean Beckett will be the Combine’s primary coaches and timers. Both are involved with Bozeman High School Athletics, Daly as an assistant football coach for Troy Purcell and Beckett as the Bozeman Hawk Power Plant Coach.
“Last year was the first year of the Combine and we hope this spring, we can build on that success,” Daly said. “The goal is to help some of Montana’s top athletes increase their exposure and set goals to consistently improve as their athletic careers progress.”
Last spring’s Combine attracted a few dozen athletes from across Montana. Ennis standout Connor Sullivan turned an impressive performance as a sophomore at last season’s combine into a full-ride football scholarship from the Montana State Bobcats football team.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated back to varsity athletic departments in the area.
