GREAT FALLS — The Montana Tech men’s basketball team will not be playing in the postseason.
The Orediggers were officially eliminated from playoff contention with an 84-73 loss to the University of Great Falls Friday night. The win gives the Argos the final spot in the Frontier Conference playoffs. Stats
Sigman Farmer III scored 18 points to lead five Great Falls players in double figures as the Argos beat Tech for the first time in three tries this season.
Paul Engstrom scored 25 points to lead the Orediggers, who fell to 3-14 in conference and 8-21 overall.
Sadiq Inuwa scored a season-high 14 points, while Great Falls native Lukas Vining tossed in 13 and Jalen Coates scored 11.
The Orediggers will close out the season Saturday with a game against MSU-Northern in Havre.
Great Falls improved to 5-12, 12-14.
