The 3rd Annual Burgman/Boyle Alumni Classic will be held Friday, Aug. 10 at Butte High’s Ross J. Richardson Memorial Gymnasium.

The event will start with the Special Olympic game at 5 p.m. The Alumni Game, pitting Butte High alumni vs. Butte Central alumni, will begin at 6:30.

The Dynamic Dance and Tumbling Academy will perform at halftime. Cost is $5. Children 12 and under are free.

The inaugural Burgman/Boyle Alumni Classic was played in 2016 at Butte Civic Center. The game was held at the Maroon Activities Center last year.

All proceeds from the game go to the Burgman/Boyle Memorial Scholarship Fund. Recent winners of $1,000 renewable scholarships went to Megan Michelotti and Zoe Sullivan of Butte Central and Robbie Leipheimer and Nathaniel Morin-Ferguson of Butte High.

The scholarship and game were set up in honor of Kyle Burgman and Casey Boyle, a pair of Butte friends who were killed in an automobile accident in Butte in August of 2015.

Donations to the Burgman/Boyle Memorial Scholarship Fund can be made at Mountain West FCU, 400 East Park Street.

Anyone interested in playing in the alumni game is asked to contact Brianna Barsness at 490-2141.
