Butte Central released its Academic All-State award winners today, and 30 student-athletes made the cut.

The awards are given to high school athletes and cheerleaders who earn a varsity letter in a Montana High School Association sanctioned sport and obtain a 3.5 or better grade point average during the principal quarter of the sport.

Of the 30 to receive the honor, 15 posted a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

Butte Central’s girls’ basketball team saw eight players earn a 4.0. They are Desaray Blunt, Olivia Bolton, Megan Michelotti, Kate Ossello, Kloie Thatcher, Ryan Trudnowski and Taylor Wahl.

Marcus Ferriter, Kyle Harrington, Tanner Kump and Nate McGree earned a 4.0 while play on the boys’ basketball tea, as did wrestlers Zach Hart, Ryan Moodry and Clay Stillwagon.
