Butte Central announced the school’s Academic All-State selections for the winter term today, and 27 Maroons made the grade
The list includes 11 members of the Class A State champion girls’ basketball team along with 12 boys’ basketball players, three wrestlers and one cheerleader.
The awards are given to athletes and cheerleaders who earn a varsity letter in a Montana High School Association sanctioned sport and obtain a 3.5 or better grade point average during the principal quarter of that sport.
Of the 27 Maroons honored, 21 earned a 4.0 GPA.
