Western women fall at buzzer in Round 2

BILLINGS — Daniela Galindo hit a shot at the buzzer Friday, and Oklahoma City knocked off Montana Western 81-79 in the second round of the NAIA Women’s National Basketball Tournament at MetraPark Arena. Stats

The shot ended the season for the upstart Bulldogs, who won 24 of 32 games.

Galindo scored 23 points to lead Oklahoma City (30-2). Daniela Wallen added 22 points.

Aniese Palmore poured in 29 points to lead the Bulldogs. She sank 8 of 13 shots from 3-point land. Taylor Howlett hit four 3-pointers and scored 20 points.

Western also got 13 points and seven rebounds from Kaye Bignell.
