Tanner Wilson, Ryan Arntson, R.J. Fitzgerald and Marcus Welnel will captain the West Side in Saturday’s 71st Montana East-West Shrine Game in Billings.

The captains were voted on by their teammates and announced to the public on the radio show KBOW Wednesday night at the Metals Sports Bar and Grill.

Wilson and Arntson will captain the West offense, while Fitzgerald and Welnel will lead the defense. All four are headed to college football programs next month.

Wilson is a 6-foot-2, 200-pound quarterback from Polson. He is taking his talents to the University of Montana.

Arntson, who missed the radio show because he was playing in an American Legion baseball game, is a 5-7, 175-pound running back from Helena High. He will play collegiately for Carroll College.

Fitzgerald is a 5-11, 210-pound linebacker from Dillon. He will play for the Montana State Bobcats.

Welnel is a 6-1, 215-pound linebacker from Helena Capital. He will join Wilson as a Montana Grizzly.
