Warriors sweep Bulldogs

LEWISTON, Idaho — Lewis-Clark State College swept Montana Western in a men’s-women’s basketball doubleheader Thursday night.

The Warrior women won 74-69 before the LC men completed the sweep with a 91-82 victory.

Jansen Edmiston scored 14 points to lead five Warriors in double figures in the women’s game. Hailey Turner scored 13 points, while Brittany Tackett and Jossilyn Blackman each scored 12, and Peyton Souvenir tossed in 11.

Brianna King scored 30 points to lead Western in the losing effort. That marked the third time this season King scored at least 30 points.

Cierra Lamey added 15 points for the Bulldogs.

Race Martin scored 26 points and Andre McCowan poured 20 to lead the Warrior men.

Riley King scored 21 points to lead the Bulldogs, who saw four players reach double figures.

Zaccheus Darko-Kelly scored 17, Brandon Jones added 16, and Dom Robinson netted 14. Robinson also dished out eight assists.

Lewis-Clark State will be in Butte Saturday for a twin bill with Montana Tech.
