Thursday’s Hot Ticket: Bulldogs, Maroons in action

The Bulldogs look for their fourth straight win Thursday as they hit the road to take on the Bison in the Eastern AA twin bill.

The Bulldogs (5-4, 3-1) are coming off Tuesday’s dominating win over Bozeman. Kaidy McClafferty struck out 14 batter in a one-hit game, Brianna Ossello went 4 for 4, and Madison Joseph hit a home run. On Saturday, the Dogs swept Billings Senior in Billings.

Both games count in conference standings. The Bulldogs will bat second in Game 2. Butte High hosts Kalispell Glacier in a noon doubleheader on Saturday.

Butte Central at Dillon, 3 p.m.
The Maroons (1-3, 0-1) jump back into Southwestern A play when they take on the Beavers in Dillon.

BC is trying to bounce back from Tuesday’s 13-2 home loss to Belgrade in a nonconference game at Stodden Park. Kloie Thatcher tripled and singled to lead BC’s offense in that loss. Emma Keeley and Megan Michelotti doubled.

Last time out, Dillon (2-5, 0-2) fell 9-0 at Stevensville. The Maroons will play host to Corvallis in a conference game at noon Saturday.

Butte Central at Bozeman JV, 3 p.m.

The Maroons head to Bozeman for their first action in 12 days when they take on the Hawks’ junior varsity team.

The Maroons will take on Corvallis at 1 p.m. Friday in Butte.
