Montana Tech head women’s basketball coach Carly Sanon announced today the signing of two Montana products for next fall. Aubrey McMaster and Megan Delaney committed to playing basketball for the Orediggers next year.
“We are excited Aubrey is going to be a part of our program,” Sanon said. “Aubrey is a versatile player and will impact the game in various ways. She is a great shooter and scorer.”
McMaster is a senior at Jefferson High School in Boulder. The skilled shooter averaged 14.5 points while shooting 45 percent from the three point line for the Panthers. McMaster also averaged 4.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists. Last year McMaster was selected to play in the prep showcase Treasure State Classic in Billings.
“I chose to play basketball at Montana Tech because of the schools strong academic program and the location close to home,” McMaster said. “I love all the girls on the team and the up-tempo style of play that Coach Sanon and Coach Strange teach. I am honored to be a Digger.”
The three-sport athlete was named Academic All-State nine different times.
Delaney has been successful in multiple sports at Frenchtown High School. The three-sport athlete was an All-Conference selection in soccer as well as basketball. Delaney is already a two-time All-State honoree in softball.
“Megan is a perfect fit athletically and academically at Tech. She is a strong, fast, and athletic point guard. She loves to push the ball on offense and is a tenacious defender.”
Delaney averaged 4.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.4 steals a game. She has been named Academic All-State nine different times in three sports.
“As a student-athlete, Montana Tech has gone above and beyond everything I could have ever hoped for in an academic and basketball program,” Delaney said. “I couldn’t be more excited to be a Digger.”
