The 2018 Southwest Montana All-Star Basketball Classic will be held this Tuesday at the Montana Tech HPER Complex.
The event, which features the top 24 boys and girls basketball players in Southwest Montana, will begin with a girls’ game at 6 p.m. The boys’ game will follow at 7:30. The event is sponsored by the Butte Chamber of Commerce Hospitality Committee.
This year’s event will include a new wrinkle with the addition of a 30 second shot clock. Three-point contest, featuring the top shooters in Southwest Montana, will be held at both halftimes. Butte’s Dynamic Dance and Tumbling Academy will also provide half-time performances.
The list of players selected include Brittney Tierney, Aspen Lovshin, Ally Cleverly, Clay Ferguson and Lathan Ricketts of Butte High, and Luke Heaphy, Cade Holter, Dylan Sestrich, Aaron Richards, Kloie Thatcher, Megan Michelotti, Oliva Bolton and Tricia Joyce of Butte Center.
Bulldogs Haley Herron, Kira Mortensen, Trevyn Roth, Kash Kelly and Kale McCarthy were named alternates along with BC’s Matt Simkins and Kailee Murphy.
The team was selected and announced last week.
Tickets for the event will be available during the day at the Butte Chamber of Commerce, 1000 George Street. Tickets will go on sale at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the HPER Complex.
