Bugs N Bullets Sport Shop will be providing free seminars during the month of August to help hunters get ready for bow season, which starts Aug. 15 with the 900 series antelope season and general bow hunting season on Sept. 3.
On Tuesday, Aug. 2 at 7 p.m., Jim Brennan will provide a free elk bugling seminar. Brennan has 35 years of hunting experience and is a full-time guide, videographer, writer and seminar speaker. He works with several outdoor companies to promote hunting the outdoors.
On Tuesday, Aug. 9 at 7 p.m., Cicely and Ray Nichols will provide a deboning seminar. The seminar will instruct on how to debone your animal in the field using the gutless method. The seminar will also include information on the proper way to take care of your game before and after you get it home.
On Tuesday, Aug. 16 at 7 p.m., a representative from Badlands Packs and Clothing will be available to discuss the Approach clothing line designed to blend in with any color and camouflage you anywhere. There will also be discussions regarding the Badland Backpacks and what will work best for your hunt.
Rod Alne will be the main speaker for the Survival Seminar on Aug. 24 at 7 p.m. Alne has 27 years of experience with the Air Force’s elite para rescue units and 15 years of instructor experience specializing in emergency medicine, wilderness survival, mountaineering, rope rescue systems, navigation, and skydiving. He is also a wilderness first aid instructor and Level II avalanche/rescue qualified. Alnes topics will include:
1) Survivor Mindset
2) Preparation required before going out
3) 3 Tier Survival equipment requirements
4) Quick review of the 3 essentials required
to survive a night in the field

- c) Signal
All seminars will be held at Bugs N Bullets Sport Shop, 40 Sportsman Way in Butte. The seminars will take place in the indoor archery range which will be closed to shooters during the seminar times. There will be free samples, prizes and demonstrations during most seminars. The seminars will informative for both the experienced and beginner hunters.
