Shrine Game includes a dozen future Orediggers

Montana Tech fans will have plenty to keep an eye on when the 71st Montana East-West Shrine Game kicks off Saturday in Billings.

The game will include 12 players who are headed to Montana Tech to play for coach Chuck Morrell’s Orediggers. Four future Oredigers will play for the East, while eight will suit up for the West.

The list of future Montana Tech players playing for the West includes Butte High graduate Kiley Caprara and Butte Central grad Blake Burton.

Other future Orediggers on the West Side are Bo Hann of Missoula Big Sky, Jaylen Taggart of Hamilton, Eric James of Dillon, Zak Karlin of Columbia Falls, Matt Farrier of Big Fork, and Cooper Christensen of Twin Bridges.

Tech signees on the East roster are Chandler Allen of Fairfield, Sam Butcher of Lewistown, Jake Orvis of Billings Senior, and Jase Stokes of Havre.

Kickoff is at 7 p.m. The game can be heard on KBOW (550 AM, 101.5 FM, online). It will also be broadcast statewide on the CW.
