Oredigger golfers earn Academic All-Conference

Frontier Conference Commissioner Kent Paulson released the 2016-17 Academic All-Conference Golf Teams today. Montana Tech placed four women and six men on the academic list.

The Frontier Conference announced the 2016-17 Academic All-Conference golf teams Friday, and 10 Orediggers made the grade.

The list includes four women’s players and six men’s players. To be eligible for the team, the student-athlete must be at least a sophomore in standing, maintain a 3.0 GPA and be enrolled at school the previous two semesters.

The Montana Tech women that made the grade were: Taryn Campbell, Ashten McCloskey, Hailey Ogolin and Megan Steach.

The Oredigger men that earned the award are: James Amundson, Sean Benson, Alec Bray, Jared Geer, Stephen Noctor and David Starcevich.

Ogolin, McCloskey and Starcevich are Butte High graduates. Noctor graduated from Butte Central.
