Morgan, Farrow finish cold, wet Boston Marathon

BOSTON — Butte native Ryan Morgan posted a solid time in miserable conditions on Monday.

Morgan, 33, who lives in Missoula, finished the 122nd running of the Boston Marathon in 3 hours, 14 minutes, 22 seconds.

Butte runner Randy Farrow, 65, finished the 26.2-milw race in 4:39:30.

The temperatures for the race were the coldest in 30 years, and runners had to deal with freezing rain and headwinds.

Japan’s Yuki Kawauchi was the first man to cross the finish line, winning the race in 2:15:58. Desiree Linden became the first American woman to win the race since 1985. She crossed in 2:39:54.
