Little Guy Football Week 5

Following are the reports from Week 5 of the Mining City Little Guy Football program. Games are played Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings at Copper Mountain Park.

Casandra’s Seahawks 18, Lisac’s Tire Raiders 12
Aiden Cuchine scored a pair of touchdowns to lead the Seahawks to the victory. Ayden Durkin and Jayden Doherty intercepted passes, while Jason Griffin and Marc McGillen anchored the defensive line. Bryce Keane was a lockdown corner.

Wyatt “Grease Lightning” Gross scored two touchdowns for the Raiders, while Quinn “Hitman” Cox played great on both sides of the ball. Kade “Bumblebee” Corcoran was great on offense, Colin “Pile Driver” McKernan caused two fumbles and Austin “Powers” Zinda showed some great blocking.

McQueen Athletic Club Patriots 6, Universal Athletic Dolphins 0
Chase Choquette scored on a nice run for the Patriots’ first touchdown of the season. Obadiah Breeton continues to lead the defense, while Miles Gasser stepped in at center and played a great game. “Grand” Kanyen Stephens played great at cornerback, while Joey Ward excelled at defensive tackle.

Seamus Murphy recovered a fumble in the first half, and Jacoby Baughman registered two sacks and three tackles for a loss. Kyler “The Animal” Carpenter completed a pass and led the team in rushing, and Kendel “The Beast” Noctor was a dominant force on the offensive and defensive line.

Steele’s Falcons 31, Thompson Distributing Vikings 0
Burke McGruder score three touchdowns and Sam Sampson added two as the Falcons rolled to the win. Johnny “Football” Hay anchored the offensive line in the win, Dakota Baily was a wall on the defensive line, Robbie Holman hauled in two passes, and Jay Tierney booted an extra point.

Ethan Sweet played great on both sides of the ball, while Hudson Luedtke ran well and played great at defensive end. Teddy “Bear” Johnson was stout on the offensive line, Lucas Harris-Huerta caught a long pass, and Carter Ralph-McGurk played tough at corner.

Lil Copperhead Rams 36, Newland and Company Bears 0
Jadyn Bomar played great on both sides of the ball to leads the Rams to the win. The entire defense played well for the Rams, while the offensive line did a great job with their down-field blocking.

Kaden McGillen played good defense, registering a sack for the Bears. Derek Dunmire showed some aggressive play at cornerback, Trey Driscoll made a goal-line stop, and Cale Johnson showed off some tough running.

Eli Smith of the Cowboys fights for yardage against Redskins defenders Karsen McEwen, Mason Newgard (60) and Zain Dunn (20). Quintin Denison and Kyler Kriskovich (22) are also in on the play for the Cowboys.

First Citizens Cowboys 16, CCCS Redskins 8
Ryan Popovich was stellar on offense for the Boys. Bret Polich booted a pair of field goals, while Eli Smith played great on offense. Gunner Reopelle found some holes to score the final touchdown.

Tocher Lee played great at quarterback for the Redskins. Cooper Hansen, Mason Newgard, Torre Dunmire and Brendon Snow played tough defense. Matt Donaldson and Shade Pohia excelled on the offensive line.

Ryan Peoples of the Buccaneers runs as Keegan Hunt of the Chargers goes in for a tackle. Peoples scored on the play.

Opportunity Bank Buccaneers 16, Harrington Pepsi Chargers 0
Kourt Donaldson, Nolyn Rigby, Grady Foley, Jakoby “Playmaker” Demessemaker, Kadyn Sommer and Josh Schrader paved the way from the Bucs’ victory on the offensive line. Ryan Peoples and Cayde Stajcar both scored, while the entire team defense played shutout ball, forcing a safety. Tony Stajcar and Tino Riojas were lockdown defenders.

Keghan Cline forced a fumble and played well from his linebacker position. Peyton Johnson played tough at defensive tackle, and Mitch Verlanic and Moore, Malcom Moore both made nice runs. Keegan “All Day” Hunt played great overall and didn’t stop until the whistle blew.

Lil Copperhead Colts vs. Buffalo Wild Wings Steelers
No score was submitted for this battle. Aiden James made several great tackles and recovered a fumble for the Colts. Gabe Dunlap intercepted a pass, Landyn Thompson made some great hits, Kale Pyles played well both ways, and Trae Salle blocked well at tight end.

Noah Purcell was a beast on defense for the Steelers. Will Stepan led the offense at quarterback. He scored a touchdown. Oliver “Man Of” Steele was a crusher on defense, Brayden “Money” Worth ran the ball as if his life depended on it, and Deven Luke was the lead blocker.

Pioneer Technical Packers 34, Glacier Bank Bengals 0
Koby Hanni scored on a great catch and run, and Bo Demarais tossed three touchdown passes to lead the Packers to the win. Colin Richards-Doyle scored on a great catch. Riley Tutty added a TD, and Bryant Stauss was awesome on both sides of the ball.

Nolan “Mighty” Casey was all over the field making numerous tackles for the Bengals. Jacob Tauscher played good on both sides of the line, Tyse Stevens made some nice stops, and Will Taylor played despite losing a tooth in pregame warmups.
