Kourtney Coverdell, Orediggers stay unbeaten

LEWISTON, Idaho — Kourtney Coverdell tossed in 23 points and dished out five assists Saturday, and Montana Tech’s women’s basketball team rolled its record to 7-0 with a 71-67 win over Eastern Oregon. Stats

The game was part of the Twin Rivers Physical Therapy Classic.

Hailey Crawford and Shay Potter both came off the bench to score 10 points for Tech, which trailed 51-50 heading into the fourth quarter.

Stormee Van Belle scored 21 points, and Maya Ah You-Dias tossed in 20 to lead the Mountaineers.

Kaylee Zard scored nine points for the Orediggers, who also saw Monica Landdeck toss in eight points. Also, Mesa Williams scored four, Mollie Peoples tossed in three, and Kaylynn Coverdell and Hannah Sparks each scored two.

The Orediggers will play in a tournament in Santa Clarita, California, next weekend.
