WHITEFISH — Ryan Imhoff of Carroll College and Stephanie McDonagh of the University of Providence were named Frontier Conference Basketball Player of the Week honors, the league announced today.
Imhoff was named the men’s top player, while McDonagh took home the women’s award.
Imhoff, is a 6-foot-6 senior guard from Napa, California, led Carroll College to two wins over the weekend. The Saints beat Our Lady of the Lakes (Texas) 78-71 and Southwestern Christian (Okla.) 85-63.
He averaged 18.5 points, six rebounds, six assists, 3.5 steals and 2.5 blocks per game. Imhoff was 15 of 24 (63 percent) from the field and 7 0f 7 from the free throw line.
Taylor England of Montana Tech, Dom Robinson of Montana Western and Derrick White of Lewis-Clark State were also nominated for the honor.
McDonagh, a 5-9 senior guard from Vancouver, Washington, helped the Argos win two games this past week. Providence beat San Diego Christian (California) 76-70 at home and College of Idaho on the road 74-66.
She averaged 27 points, eight rebounds, three assists and 1.5 steals. She was 18 of 31 from the field (58 percent), 5 of 10 3-point field goals (50 percent) and 13 of 44 from the free throw line (93 percent).
Shay Potter of Montana Tech, Hannah Dean of Carroll College, Lauren Johnson of Lewis-Clark State and Brandy Lambourne of MSU-Northern were also nominated.
