WHITEFISH — Cierra Lamey of Montana Western and Ryan Imhoff of Carroll College were named Frontier Conference Basketball Players of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Lamey, a junior from Wise River, took home the women’s award for the first time this season. Imhoff received the men’s honor for the sixth time of his senior campaign.
Lamey is a 5-foot-10 forward who starred at Beaverhead County High School in Dillon before heading to western. This past weekend, the 24th ranked Bulldogs went 2-0 at home. Western downed MSU-Northern 62-57 and No. 19 University of Providence 68-55.
She averaged 18.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and one steal per game. Lamey was 12 of 22 from the field and 7 of 10 from the free throw line. In the win over Providence, she was a perfect 5 of 5 for 3-point field goals.
Kaylee Zard of Montana Tech, Jossilyn Blackman of Lewis-Clark State, Brittney Johnson of Carroll College and Mikayla Jones of Rocky Mountain College were also nominated.
Imhoff is a 6-6 guard from Napa, California. No. 14 Carroll College was 2-0 for the weekend. At home, the Saints edged Montana Tech 65-60 and on the road downed Rocky Mountain College 91-84.
Imhoff averaged 27 points, 6.5 rebounds, four steals and two assists per game. He was 18 of 34 from the field (53 percent) and was 18 of 21 from the free throw line.
Chris O’Neill of Montana Tech, Dom Robinson of Montana Western, Jeremy Franklin of Lewis-Clark State, Ryan Reeves of MSU-Northern and Craig Wilmore of Rocky Mountain College were also nominated.
