Butte Mixers win division crown at Spokane Hoopfest

SPOKANE — The Butte Mixers showed some resiliency in winning the boys’ fifth-grade team title over the weekend at Spokane Hoopfest.

Ryan Peoples, Kelton Kean and Kendel Noctor made up the Mixers, who went 5-1 overall. They overcame an early 7-2 hole to beat the Junior Assassins 19-18 in the championship game.

Hoopfest is a tournament that draws thousands of players on hundreds of teams to compete on the streets of Spokane.
