Burgman/Boyle Classic back for second year

Burgman/Boyle Classic back for second year

The 2nd Annual Burgman/Boyle Alumni Classic will be held Thursday, Aug. 10 at the Maroon Activities Center.

The event will start with the Special Olympic game at 4 p.m. The Alumni Game, pitting Butte High alumni vs. Butte Central alumni, will begin at 6.

The Dynamic Dance and Tumbling Academy will perform at halftime. Cost is $5. Children 12 and under are free.

The inaugural Burgman/Boyle Alumni Classic was played last August at Butte Civic Center. It will alternate between venues each year.

All proceeds from the game go to the Burgman/Boyle Memorial Scholarship Fund. Recent winners of $1,000 renewable scholarships went to Evan Anderson, Sheridan Hafer and Jordan Lobb of Butte High and Corbyn Holm and Connor Ford of Butte Central.

The scholarship and game were set up in honor of Kyle Burgman and Casey Boyle, a pair of Butte friends who were killed in an automobile accident in Butte in August of 2015.

Donations to the Burgman/Boyle Memorial Scholarship Fund can be made at Mountain West FCU, 400 East Park Street.
