COSTA MESA, Calif. — Butte fighter Ariel Beck impressed the crowd, but she fell just short in her Invicta Fighting Championships debut Saturday night.

The Deer Lodge native came out on the short end of a 29-28, 29-28, 28-29 split decision to Rachael Ostovich at Hangar at the OC Fair and Events Center. The fight was broadcast live an UFC Fight Pass.

The fight was the first of a four-fight contract for Beck. She also has two fights left on her three-fight deal with Legacy.

Beck fell to 4-3 as a professional. Ostovich improved to 3-2.
