LIVINGSTON — Five Butte Central athletes posted at least one victory Friday evening at the Senior Meet hosted by Park County High School. (Meet results)
Senior Rachael McGree posted two wins to lead the Maroons. She won the triple jump and the 100-meter hurdles, clocking in with a time of 15.87 seconds. The future Montana State Bobcat jumped 34 feet, 8 inches to win the triple jump.
Lindsay McGree won the long jump for the Maroons, posting a mark of 16-7 ½.
Olivia Bolton, who placed third in the long jump, won the 400-meter race. Her time was 1:07.12.
Senior Nate McGree won the triple jump on the boys’ side. He leapt 42-3 for the victory. McGree also placed second in the long jump with a mark of 20-0 ½.
Brian McGeehan ran to victory in the 800 for the BC boys. He finished in 2:07.35.
Blake Burton took second in the 100-meter race with a time of 11.69 seconds. Dillon star Troy Andersen won the race in 11.05.
The Maroon boys picked up a couple of second-place finishes in the throws. Aaron Richards took second in the shot put with a mark of 44-11, while Archie Petritz finished runner up with a 126-10 mark in the discus.
Also, Zach Carlson placed third in the 400.
The Belgrade boys’ and girls’ swept the team titles in the four-team meet. The Panthers scored 99 points to top the Dillon boys by five. BC took third at 43, while Livingston took fourth at 23.
The Belgrade girls won with 92.5 points. Dillon was second at 64.5, followed by Livingston at 49 and Central at 28.
The Maroons head to Corvallis for the Southwestern A Divisional meet next week.
