BILLINGS — For the second straight outing, MSU-Billings senior right hander Bryon Baker pitched the distance as the Yellowjackets picked up a GNAC victory.

Sunday night, Baker and the MSUB basetball team grabbed a 5-4 walk-off victory over Concordia University at Dehler Park. The victory gave the Yellowjackets a 3-1 series win in MSUB’s first home weekend of the season.

Andrew Schleusner singled in Case Merritt to cap MSUB’s two-run seventh for the victory.

Baker surrendered eight hits and four runs while improving to 3-0 on the season. Only two of the runs were earned as the Butte High graduate struck out five and walked one. He used 100 pitchers for the win.

The Yellowjackets split with Concordia on Saturday, losing 11-6 before winning 10-4. MSUB took Sunday’s opener 6-3.

The Yellowjackets (8-13 overall and 6-5 in conference) are back at home next Friday and Saturday for four games with Northwest Nazarene.
